I love Valentines Day. (we drop the "St." in the US) I love it because its a dedicated day to love! One of my favorite parts of Valentines Day is getting flowers. I love getting flowers from my husband. I usually only get them on my birthday and V-day. Roses are very popular to give/receive. I love getting roses on V-day.

When we were in elementary school, we would bring paper cards (also called valentines) to class with us. We would then put them in a paper bag that we had previously decorated for the holiday, with our name on it. Every student brought cards for everyone else, and sometimes candy. It was a fun way to celebrate as a kid. Now that I am older, I get gifts usually from my Mom, sister and husband. Only my husband and I really celebrate. We usually just go out on a date, to the movies or dinner together. I can't wait for it on Saturday! :)

I usually give a big box of candies to my girlfriend as she really loves it :)

Then we together eat it and watch some romantic movies.

Hello!
well, I like Valentines Day, but, to be honest, I don't like the way it is celebrated in our country. In my view, the holiday of love should be connected with true pure love. However, nowadays not everyone understands what does it mean:(
Usually, people give heart-shaped cards, sweets, flowers to each other but sometimes they don't figure out the main purpose of all these presents..
I believe, that people should think deeply about their feelings and motivations on this day and nobody hasn't got a right to give meaningless presents without a piece of their hearts in it. Let's be sincere to each other!

We usually organise the great parties in the school which end with discos. During the lessons we have "love mail" - some pupils skate around the school and send valentines to the children. But the nicest part is that we have shortened lessons!!)
